  • EDNA L. TRACY, 89, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN

     

    Edna L. Tracy, 89, North Manchester, IN died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 in Peabody Healthcare Center. She was born May 23, 1923 in Marshall County, IN to Omer Otis & Beatrice M. (VanPherson) Coldren.  Edna graduated from Laketon (IN) High School in 1941.  On July 3, 1947 she married Arthur Russell Tracy. He died February 17, 1976.  She owned and operated Tracy's Market in North Manchester and later worked at the deli in Lance's New Market, North Manchester.  Edna was a member of United Methodist Church, North Manchester, a lifetime member of Women of the Moose and Order of Eastern Star.  She was a former stock car driver at Warsaw Speedway and Baer Field Raceway and other area racetracks.  She was an avid golfer, bowler and I.U. basketball fan.  She is survived by one son, Brett (Dawn) Tracy, South Whitley, IN; three daughters, Patricia Allen, Ft. Wayne, IN; Shelly (Tracy) Gilliand, Warsaw, IN and Debbie Tracy, Ft. Wayne, IN; five sisters, Beverly J. Coldren, Mentone, IN, Betty (Rex) Smith, Warsaw, IN, Barbara (Jim) Stewart, North Manchester, IN, Brenda (Larry) Landis, Wabash, IN, and Becky Burton, Lafayette, IN; three grandchildren, Josh (Ashley) Fitzgerald, Nathan (Emily) Fitzgerald, and Jordan (Megan) Allen; two step sons, Larry (Joan) Tracy, Costa Mesa, CA and Richard (Ann) Tracy, North Manchester, IN; two step daughters, Carol (Fred) Haw, Chicago, IL and Linda (Duane) Werking, North Manchester, IN; nine step grandchildren, six great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.  One infant son, one grandchild, Tracy Lynn Allen, two brothers, William Coldren and Keith Coldren, and one sister, Carol Paul, are deceased.   Family & friends may call Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN.  Service Monday, October 22, 2012 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.  Pastor Kevin DeKoninck & Pastor Larry Ray will officiate.   • AUDREY L. THOMPSON, 88, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN

     

    Audrey L. Thompson, 88, North Manchester, IN died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born February 6, 1924 in Huntington County, IN to Ralph Edward and Ruth (Lambert) Kriegbaum.  She graduated from Warren High School, Warren, IN.  On March 10, 1946 she married Meredith W. Thompson.  He died May 23, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of United Methodist Church, North Manchester, IN. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star, Warren, IN and Tri-Kappa.  Audrey was a loving mother & wife.  She is survived by two sons, Steven L. Thompson, Sunnyvale, CA and Charles E. (Gina Reel) Thompson, Bloomington, IN; and one daughter, Marsha L. (Ray) Guy, Indianapolis, IN. One son, Jeffry Thompson, and one sister are deceased.  Services will be Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Peabody Chapel, 400 W. Seventh Street, North Manchester, IN.  Calling will be one hour prior to services at Peabody Chapel. Rev. Sue Babovec & Rev. Kevin DeKoninck will officiate.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren, IN.  The family will receive friends at 2:30 Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren, IN.  Arrangements entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN.   For those who wish to honor the memory of Audrey L.   • TAMMIE L. THOMAS, 43, PHOENIX, AZ

     

    Tammie L. Thomas, 43, Phoenix, AZ and formerly of Warsaw, IN died Sunday, February 5, 2012 in her residence. She was born December 25, 1968 in Wabash, IN to William J. & Nannie (Marcum) Miller. She was a 1987 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, Warsaw, IN and she obtained an Associate Degree from IPFW in Psychology.  Tammie worked in Social Services at Southwest Network Behavioral Center, Phoenix, AZ. She had a passion for her family and her clients.  She is survived by her mother and stepfather, David & Nannie Jackson, Youngtown, AZ; one son, Nikolai C. (Leanna) Harris, El Mirage, AZ; one brother, Darrell Dewayne Dingess, Logansport, IN and one grandchild, Leah Marie Harris, El Mirage, AZ.    Friends and family may call Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN.  Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 W, North Manchester, IN.  Pastor J.   • COLE G. THOMPSON, 89, SILVER LAKE, IN

     

    Cole G. Thompson, 89, of Silver Lake, IN died at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, IN.  He was born at Laketon, Indiana on January 31, 1921 to Daniel F. & Hazel (Ogden) Thompson.  On September 26, 1943 he married Vivian M. Meinert.  She died November 25, 2001.  Surviving is a daughter, Sara Thompson, Indianapolis, IN. Four grandchildren, Michelle (Larry) Hollar, Warsaw, IN; Danelle (John) Leeka, Winona Lake, IN; Erin (Jason) Allison, Warsaw, IN and Kapen Eherenman, Sebring, FL.  Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruby Jane Flenar, Vincennes, IN.  A daughter, Susan Eherenman, two brothers, Robert Thompson and Fred Thompson and two sisters, Goldwyn Barnett and Marietta Holle preceded him in death.  Cole was a 1941 graduate of Laketon High School and a World War II US Army veteran participating in the D-Day invasion at Omaha Beach, June 6, 1944.  Following his discharge from the Army, he worked as a warehouse clerk at General Tire in Wabash, IN.  Later he was a metal lathe inspector for Clausing Co. in Warsaw, IN retiring in 1982.  He was a member of the American Legion Post # 402, Laketon, IN.  Services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.  Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 23, from 4 - 8 p.m. at the mortuary.  Rev. John Bell will officiate services and burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, IN.  For those who wish to honor the memory of Cole Thompson, memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight Network, Inc.   • LOUIS L. "GENE" THOMAS, 67, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN

     

    Louis L. "Gene" Thomas, 67, North Manchester, IN died at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 in his residence. He was born July 6, 1942 in Peru, IN to William R. & Georgianna I. (Smith) Thomas. He is survived by his companion, Debbie Giddens, Liberty Mills, IN; one daughter, Lisa (Steve) Turley, North Manchester, IN; three brothers, Lamoine (Pat) Thomas, North Manchester, IN, Dewayne (Brenda) Thomas, North Manchester, IN and Floyd Thomas, Lafontaine, IN; one sister, Loretta (Terry) Cox, North Manchester, IN; one half sister, Kathy Leis, Knox, IN; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He retired in 2006 from Invensys Co., North Manchester, IN after 44 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1518, Eagles Lodge, and Sons of the American legion Post #286, all of North Manchester, IN. Gene served the North Manchester community as a member of the North Manchester Police Dept. Reserves and as a volunteer and assistant chief with the North Manchester Fire Dept. Graveside services Monday, March 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, CR 300 E & CR 1000 N, Servia, IN. No calling is planned. Pastor J. P.
