She was a nurse for 30 years at various nursing facilities in South Bend, IN. She devoted her life to nursing, her family and helping others. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Stanton, North Manchester, IN; her companion of 32 years, James Gray, North Manchester, IN; son, David M. Mefford, North Manchester, IN; brothers, John Stanton, Kokomo, IN, Daniel Stanton, Claypool, IN, Kenny Stanton, Claypool, IN and Herb Stanton, Claypool, IN; sisters, Mary Richardson, Claypool, IN, Sherri Garris, Warsaw, IN and Becky (John) Hetzner, North Manchester, IN. One sister, Sandy Enyart, is deceased. Services will be at a later date.
