Janet D (Overlander) Simpson

Janet D. Simpson, 73, Silver Lake, IN passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 5:49 p.m. in her residence.  She was born March 12, 1944 in Athens, IN to Jacob & Alice (Bacon) Overlander.  On June 24, 1962 she married David L. Simpson.  He passed away May 5, 2014.  Janet was a homemaker and served Silver Lake, IN for 16 years as an EMT.  She loved birds, but most of all she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is survived by sons, Gary (Susan) Simpson, Warsaw, IN and Kenny D. (Denise) Simpson, Warsaw, IN; daughters, Teresa L. Simpson, Disko, IN, Debbi S. Fields, Akron, IN and Wendy K. Simpson, Silver Lake, IN; brother, Donald Overlander, North Manchester, IN; sister, Pat Zeyen, Rochester, IN; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Family & Friends may call Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.  There will be no service.  For those who wish to honor the memory of Janet Simpson, love offering donations can be made to McKee Mortuary and would be appreciated by Janet's family.
