Mary K. (Lincoln) Omstead

Mary K. Omstead, 84, Lifelong resident of Indiana, recently of North Manchester, IN passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 10:50 a.m. in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN.  She was born July 16, 1933 in Columbus, IN to William Lucas and Kathryn (Kinsel) Lincoln. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1951.  On April 2, 1984 she married Harvey Omstead.  He passed away March 2, 2006.  Mary K. worked in finance business and co-owner of an automobile business in Huntington, IN for many years.  She was an insurance agent with Modern Woodmen of America Life Insurance Company and had worked as a dispatcher with the Wabash County Sheriff's Department, North Manchester Police Department and LifeMed Ambulance Service,  North Manchester, IN retiring in 1997.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening and bird watching.  She is survived by sons, Matthew L. (Lachelle) Alexander, Silver Lake, IN, Gregory (Joie) Souder, Bloomington, IN and Jeffrey (Becky) Souder, Warren, IN; daughter, Rhonda (Bob) Bolner, Columbus, IN; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One sister is deceased.  Family and friends may call Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.  For those who wish to honor the memory of Mary K.
