Doctor Sawyer was one of the best neighbors anybody could have. He always had a smile and something nice to say. He kept a beautiful yard and he and my dad often compared and competed on best yard.. I pray for peace and the loving memories of him to be with his family.

Doug and Peggy and family, Roger was such a great friend to LeRoy and all of the Simonsons. We were so fortunate to have met him and enjoyed his family during their breaks and vacations. What a great gentleman. Peace, Mike and Maggie Simonson

Dr. Sawyer was my Optometrist in N. Manchester throughout my childhood. I had to wear glasses since the age of eight but I just loved going to see Dr. Sawyer. He was so kind and humorous and he even had a nickname for me "JoeyBet". He called me that each time I saw him and I will never forget it. He's a lovely part of my childhood and I remember Mrs. Sawyer most fondly, too. They were both very kind and friendly people. I also remember playing in the backyard with Doug many, many years ago with my sisters, Nancy and Cathy Reed even though Doug was a bit younger than we were. I wish Doug and the entire family comfort and peace as they gather to pay tribute to Dr. Sawyer and a life well-lived.

Dear Dr. Doug and family, Dr. Roger was infectious of sending his friends and acquaintances on to better lives. My life was touched for the way he loved nature in the river bottom by the Eel River behind my house. I enjoyed his optimism and sense of joining projects in Kiwanis and as a business professional just down Main Street from my office. His joy and spirit are special. May I remember his fondly.

Sending warm thoughts and special memories of Roger from our Forest Lakes and Quail Run occasion s that we shared with Roger.
He will be remembered for the special person he was and the Bougainville we see on the 9th hole that he was instrumental in having planted. A daily memory for us.

We are sorry to hear of your loss. Mandy I have always loved the stories you have shared about your visits with your grandpa. My favorite being recently you texted me asking for the song that was played at my dad in laws funeral, "Go rest High on that Mountain". You later said you sang to him when you visited. I know, with out knowing him that he appreciated and loved your time with him as well those with Dave and his great grandsons. Hold tight to those memories. Our prayers are with the Sawyer family. Love you.
