Anna Faye (DeVoe) Kindler

Anna Faye Kindler, 82, died at 1:04 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, IN.  Born on September 9, 1935 in Birmingham, Alabama, Anna was the daughter of Melvin and Doris (Wiseman) DeVoe.

On February 14, 1976 Anna married Maurice F. Kindler. The two were married for 35 years before Maurice passed away on May 28, 2011. Anna always loved being the wife of a veteran and often said "she was a career veteran's wife."  Being a mother, homemaker and a veteran's wife was a full time job, but when Anna found time, she enjoyed crocheting and watching movies on TV.

The memory of Anna Faye Kindler will be carried on by one daughter, Tyna L. Raikes, Laketon, Indiana; one brother, Rex (Clara) DeVoe, Rocky Top, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Autumn (Brett) Taylor, Wabash, Indiana, Rhyan (Philip) Langhammer, Kokomo, Indiana and Corey Raikes, Laketon, Indiana; four great-grandchildren and three nephews and one niece.  Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice F. Kindler; parents, Melvin and Doris DeVoe and one brother, Max DeVoe.

A graveside service for Major Maurice F. and Anna (DeVoe) Kindler will be on October 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, Indiana 46953
