Billy L Sroufe Jr.

Billy L. Sroufe Jr., 59, Silver Lake, Indiana, passed away at his home on August 5. 2019 at 10:01 p.m. Born on November 13, 1959 in Columbia City, Indiana, Billy was born to Bill L. Sroufe Sr. and Marie (McCloughan) Sroufe.

Everyone who met Billy could describe him as a great guy that would do anything for anyone. He loved his family dearly and his friends became his family. Billy was a lifetime mechanic, working on everything and anything that had a motor. Being a mechanic wasn’t a way of making a living, but a passion he had. He could often be seen at in his garage tinkering with anything he could. When Billy wasn’t in the shop, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and relaxing to old Western Movies. On Saturday nights or Sundays, Billy could be found watching NASCAR and in particularly his favorite driver, Matt Kenseth. He had a deep fondness for Harley-Davison Motorcycles and was a member of ABATE.

The loving memory of Billy L. Sroufe Jr., will be cherished by his two daughters, Amanda Sroufe, Liberty Mills, Indiana and Chrissy Hollon, Silver Lake, Indiana; three brothers, Steve Sroufe, Florida, Lonnie Sroufe, Leesburg, Indiana and Nathaniel Sroufe, Shawnee, Ohio; one sister, Cherryl Sroufe Brunner, Warsaw, Indiana; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life with be at a later date.
