Charlene A (Stucker) Walters

Charlene A. Walters, 89, North Manchester, IN passed away peacefully at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. Charlene was born on July 13, 1929, one of nine children to Roy C. and Pauline (Eby) Stucker.  She married Miles F. Walters on July 31, 1948.  Her parents and Miles preceded her in death along with siblings Virgil Stucker, Georgia Dee Clark, Oznola McCullough, NaDean Sherer, Geneva Kester, Dorene Smith, and Carolyn Howard. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her younger sister Lova Ward, daughter Priscilla (Walters) Bungitak, grandchildren John D. Bakehorn, Jason D. Bakehorn, and Dorehyl (Bungitak) Mobley.  She is also survived by six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. 

Charlene loved to work, spending many years working at Custom Magnetics, Inc. in North Manchester, IN.  She was a member of the former Servia United Church of Christ for much of her life and attended Congregational Christian Church in her later years. 

A celebration of Charlene’s life will be a small private graveside ceremony at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN with family and close friends.
