Helen Dickey, 99, Columbia City, Indiana passed away at 5:50 p.m. on June 17, 2017 at Miller's Merry Manor, Columbia City, Indiana. Helen was born on March 20, 1918 in Miami County, Indiana to Jasper O. and Minnie C. (Swope) Eakright. She graduated from Laketon High School in 1936. Helen worked a variety of jobs such as Mike's Cafe, Corner Cupboard, North Manchester, Indiana General Tire, Wabash, Indiana and as a homemaker. On December 7, 1942 Helen married Robert E. Dickey. He passed away on December 1, 1996. Helen loved being outdoors, but she very much enjoyed her Sunday school class at First Christian Church, Warsaw, Indiana. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church, North Manchester, Indiana and a current member of First Christian Church, Warsaw, Indiana. Helen is survived by one daughter Cheryl Rae (Jack) Wulliman, Columbia City, Indiana and one granddaughter Melissa Christner, Frostproof, Florida, one great grandson and three great grandaughters. Helen was preceded in death by her parents Jasper and Minnie Eakright; one daughter Christine Randall, and one sister Edna Pence. Family and friends may call Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary on June 22, 2017. Burial will be at South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana. Pastor Gary Boschain will officiate.
