I had the pleasure of working with Irene for 10 years at the Wabash Plain Dealer when I graduated from High School. She would visit me at the Court House after I went to work there when she would be there paying taxes. Thank you to her wonderful son David for bringing her in to see me when she quit driving. Thank you to her granddaughter Eris for letting me know about the passing of Irene. So sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. We are never ever ready for these points in our lives, but they come to us all. Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts of our days in school together, brings back many memories. It also brings back a recent memory of a kindness that Dave did for my Dad, after my mother's passing, while it may have seemed small to you, it meant the world to dad and to me. Praying for comfort, clarity and only good memories for your family.

Irene loved her family so much. She had a rocky childhood & became widowed early in life, but she was always a positive, happy person. I have so many happy memories that we shared together. She will be missed.

Thank you for your kind words.  You were truly a great friend of Irene and she was so grateful of the time spent with the Quality Hardwood Bowling Team.  You should have been a tour guide and travel agent in your spare time!

I'm  sending my condolences to you as it always hurts to lose a parent whether you are near every day or far apart.  It sounds like your mom lived a full, enjoyable life.  I was interested to read her background information as we never knew things about each other's parents when we were in high school.  We just knew that an outgoing girl with an unusual name moved in and instantly became a star in our class.
My sister Edna Tracy played golf with your mom in their later years and I heard a bit of information about you through that channel.  I always thought that MAYBE you would come back to Indiana at a time that corresponded to our class of '62 reunions but we did enjoy the information and pictures you sent.
Wishing you the comfort of good memories and loving family and friends.
