Jean F. (Loucks) Renschler

Jean F. Renschler, 98, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:30 p.m. in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN.  She was born May 31, 1919 in Elkhart, IN to Walter & Clara (Frantz) Loucks.  She graduated from Central High School in 1937 and in 1943 she received a Bachelor and Graduate Nursing Degree from Indiana University.  She received her master’s degree from St. Francis University in 1973.  She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester, IN and North Manchester Historical Society. For 40 years she was employed by  Dr. P. H. Pierson at Silver Lake, IN, local hospitals, Indiana State Department of Welfare and the the Indiana State Department of Health.  On July 1, 1943 she married Dwight W. Grubb.  He passed away on January 30, 1976. She then married Rufus B. King on October 12, 1989. He passed away on November 21, 1994.  On May 7, 1997 she married Charles F. Renschler. He passed away on February 9, 2008. She is survived by her son, James D. (Kathy) Grubb, Sacramento, CA; daughters, Sally (Ryan) Williams, Charlotte, NC and Marsha (Gary) Groninger, Olathe, KS; sister-in-law, Frances Loucks, Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and seven step children.  Family & friends may call Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN.  Services will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN.  Pastor Karen Eberly will officiate.  Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.  For those who wish to honor the memory of Jean Renschler, memorial contributions may be made to Timbercrest Senior Living Community, PO Box 501, North Manchester, IN 46962 or Manchester Church of the Brethren, 1306 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN 46962 or Manchester Historical Society, PO Box 361, North Manchester, IN 46962.
