L. Colleen (Olinger) Carr

Lois Colleen Carr, 92, Maxville, Florida passed away at 10:28 p.m. on May 4, 2018 at Spring Gardens of Fleming Island, Fleming Island, Florida. Daughter of DeVon and Lois (Ulrey) Olinger, Lois was born on October 8, 1925 in Wabash, Indiana.

On October 24, 1952 Colleen married her best friend and love of her life Edward Carr. The two were married for 46 years before Edward passed away on August 26, 1998.  In January 1998 Colleen and Edward moved to Maxville, Florida. Once moving to Florida, Colleen became a member of Russell Baptist Church, Green Cove Springs, Florida. Colleen worked as a homemarker, taking care of her and Edward's two children. When she wasn't looking after the children and taking care of the home, she enjoyed to garden, sew, and going to her grandchildren's events. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

The loving memory of Lois Colleen Carr will be forever survived by her son, Jeffrey D. (Joan) Carr, Maxville, Florida; daughter, Kristine Eadie, Dallas, Texas; one brother Max Olinger, Michigan; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents DeVon and Lois Olinger; husband, Edward Carr; brother, Frederick "Fritz" Olinger and sister, Barbara Barnes.

Family and friends may call Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at McKee Mortuary. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, Indiana.
