Larry Lee Montel

Larry Lee Montel, 82, Warsaw, IN passed away at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in his residence.  He was born June 28, 1935 in Kosciusko County, IN to Deverl & Ruby (Ayres) Montel.  He graduated from Laketon High School in 1954.  On July 10, 1964 he married Laverne Garber.  She passed away on August 17, 2008. He was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren, Liberty Mills, IN, Sidney Lion’s Club for 30 years, Scottish Rite, a Mason, Echoes of the Past member for many years.  He loved farming and his tractors.  He didn’t know a stranger. He is survived by his son, Brent Montel, Claypool, IN; daughter, Rhonda (Brian) Wood, Claypool, IN; brothers, Roger Montel, Mentone, IN & Robert Montel, Warsaw, IN; sisters, Carolyn Eberly, South Whitley, IN and Phyllis Price, Hobart, IN; grandchildren, Kyle Wood, Sacramento, CA, Kory Wood, Muncie, IN and Joshua Montel.  Family and friends may call Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.  Services will be Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren, 71 N. 3rd Street, Liberty Mills, IN.  Pastor Erin Huiras will officiate.  Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, IN.
