Michael B Sturgeon

Michael B. Sturgeon, 64, North Manchester, Indiana passed away at 8:40 p.m. on January 6, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor West, Wabash, Indiana. The youngest of two children, Michael was born on February 28, 1953 in Kokomo, Indiana to Howard B. and Ann J. (Watkins) Sturgeon.

After graduating from Haworth High School in 1971, Michael went on to attend Ball State University and Indiana University Kokomo, Kokomo, Indiana.  After college, Michael served as a Wabash County Sheriff's Deputy for 20 years. When he wasn’t serving Wabash County, he was an avid computer game player and listening to classic 70's and 80's rock music. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Michael’s loving memory will be survived by his longtime companion of 27 years, Karen Eiler; one daughter, Jennifer K. (Sturgeon) Bryant, Kokomo, Indiana; sons, Ryan M. Sturgeon, Kokomo, Indiana and Michael B. Sturgeon Jr., Peru, Indiana; one brother David B. Sturgeon, Kokomo, Indiana; grandchildren, Brittney Sturgeon, Kokomo, Indiana and Caiden Sturgeon, Peru, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard B. and Ann J. Sturgeon.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 4:00- 5:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. A memorial service will follow calling, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Ron Burns and Rev. Jeff Lawson will officiate.
