Wittakers, coworkers from Brazil…
Dear, dear friends

I’m sending this to the addresses I have. Please share….

We are so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. It is so difficult to lose loved ones, especially parents, even when we know that it is their time to go. But we are so thankful for His grace and promises that anchor us in this life. We realize that your mother has laid aside her earthly sufferings and is now experiencing "an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." 2 Cor 4:17. We have prayed much for her over the past and continue to pray for Mel and all of you. The Lord brought about this recent move to IN in His wisdom and grace. But now she is truly home.

As she stated in one of her last emails: It is with joy and a certain amount of trepidation that we are moving into the next phase of our lives, and certainly looking forward to joining those who have gone before and already are enjoying sweet fellowship around the throne of our dear Savior. That is the fellowship with our Savior that she is now enjoying. What confidence and comfort Jesus gives us!

We loved this statement in that email. The year was 1953, when as a young mother, I, Rosemary, was challenged to serve the Lord full time in overseas missionary work at a meeting held at the Billy Sunday sawdust tabernacle in Winona Lake, Indiana. She was faithful to God’s leading in her life and was used by Him to make an impact for Christ both in the US and Brazil. She touched and blessed so many lives, often faithfully working behind the scenes that others might hear the Gospel and that God be glorified. We are thankful to call her friend!

What a wonderful faithful wife, mother, grandmother, etc! We are thankful for all the wonderful memories that you have in your mother. She has built great truth, love and effectiveness for the Lord into your lives. And we love calling you dear friends. May God bless, comfort and strengthen you as you go through the calling hours, the funeral and the days ahead. We wish that we could be there with you all but we continue praying for His sustaining grace.

We love you guys!!! And our deep love, respect and appreciation to Mel. We are sending him a card but that won’t get there before the funeral. So hug him for us!

In His love and in prayers

Earl for Marilyn too
