Anna Lee Boocher, 96, North Manchester, passed away on June 22, 2024 at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. Born October 9, 1927 in Wabash, Indiana, Anna Lee was the daughter of Noah E. and Neta P. (Anderson) Boocher and sister to Max and Jane.
A graduate of Chester High School in 1945, Anna Lee embarked on a successful career as a Bookkeeper, dedicating over six years of her life to Strauss and Son before moving to Tec-Hackett Engineering in Fort Wayne. She wrapped up her work life at Strauss Inc. in 1992 after a notable twenty-two-year tenure.
All who knew Anna Lee, knew of her fondness for her three loyal German Shepherds, she had throughout the years, all named Rebel, as well as her love for reading, chocolate M&Ms, and most importantly, being an adored aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Anna Lee was baptized on May 16, 1953 into the Old German Baptist Church and was a member of the North Manchester Old German Baptist Church. It was here that she found comfort and solace in her church family.
The loving memory of Anna Lee Boocher will be forever cherished by her nieces and nephews, Ronda (Rob) Aldrich, Judy (Dennis) Cripe, Allan (Rosalyn) Boocher, Arden (Carol) Boocher, and Beverly (Mike) Rice; and several great-nieces and nephews. Anna Lee was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Max (Doris) Boocher; sister, Jane (John) Kinzie; nephews, Robert Kinzie, Roger Kinzie, and Jerry Boocher.
Family and friends may call Friday, June 28, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 12546 North State Road 13, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling, with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be held at the North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery.
The family of Anna Lee Boocher has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
