Billie Shawndale Poe

Billie Shawndale Poe, born on November 9, 1970, in Warsaw, to Bill and Ruth (Miller) Poe, passed away peacefully at his home in North Manchester on July 4, 2025. He was 54 years old.

Billie's dedication to his work was evident throughout his impressive 13-year career at MPS. He began his journey in the agricultural field at Automated Egg Producers before moving on to Sunnyside Farms. His colleagues will fondly remember his friendly demeanor and his ability to bring humor to the workplace, always ready with a joke or an interesting fact.

A man of various passions, Billie found solace in nature, often spending his free time fishing and camping. His love for animals was unparalleled, particularly his fondness for reptiles. He attended numerous swap expos, where he delighted in observing the diverse species, truly embracing his fascination with these remarkable creatures.

The loving memory of Billie Poe will be forever cherished by his daughter, Kelsea (Caleb Cornett) Poe, Ossian; mother, Ruth (Miller) Poe, North Manchester; father, Bill Poe, North Manchester; sister, Renee (Brian) Cartwright, Warsaw; and two grandchildren, Damon Cornett and Amis Cornett.

Family and friends may call Friday, July 11, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
