Carl O. "Bing" Bechtold, 79, formerly of Huntington, IN and the Bippus, IN area died at 4:32 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Rolling Meadows Healthcare, LaFontaine, IN. He was born June 19, 1931 at Wabash County, IN to M. Otto & Agnes (Norris) Bechtold. He was a farmer, raised draft horses and was a retired turnkey-dispatcher for the Huntington County Sheriff's Department. He was a US Army veteran and a 1949 graduate of Chester High School. Surviving are three sons, Donald R. Bechtold, Monte C. Bechtold and Ronnie Bechtold. A daughter, Karla A. Stoltz. Two sisters, Miriam (William) Ruppel and Phyllis (Michael) Leckrone. One daughter, Patty J. Gamble is deceased. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:00 in Fairview Cemetery, C.R. 300 E & C.R. 1000 N, Servia, IN. Laurel Poling will officiate.
