Dale John Stambaugh was born on October 2nd, 1945 in Ionia, MI, to Arlin and Carmen (Fry) Stambaugh, near the little town of Sunfield, MI. At age 11, in August 1957, his dad was killed as a result of a grain elevator accident, after which Dale moved with his mother and brother to the North Manchester, Indiana area.
In December 1966, feeling the need for a savior, he was baptized by the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. On April 21, 1968 he was united in marriage to Vivian Blocher. In October 1972 they were called to the office of deacon. In 2009, they transitioned into the Old German Baptist Brethren New Conference Church as charter members.
Dale owned and operated Dale Stambaugh Construction for around 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlin and Carmen; his in-laws, Ray and Lucile Blocher; two sons-in-law, Jeff Flora and Carl Tanner; and two sisters-in-law, Penny Blocher and Sharon Stambaugh.
Dale leaves to celebrate his move to his heavenly home, his wife of 57 years, Vivian; three daughters, Sarah Flora (Quentin Slothour), Deborah (Bill) Sisk, and Dinah (Dwight) Dutter. Grandchildren; Alaina (David) Filbrun, Marillis Flora and Riley Kate Dutter, and one great-granddaughter; Isla Filbrun. One brother, Harold Stambaugh; brothers-in-law, Alan Blocher and Don Blocher; sister-in-law Carol Blocher.

Friends and family may call Friday, August 1st, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at West Manchester New Conference Church, 1013 W. State Road 114, North Manchester. The funeral will be at 12 noon immediately following the Saturday morning viewing. Burial will be held at North Manchester Old German Baptist Church Cemetery, 12508 North State Road 13, North Manchester, Indiana. Friends and family are welcome to join us for a meal back at West Manchester Church following the burial.
