David "Dave" Alan Rosemeyer

Nov 28, 1953 — Oct 30, 2026

North Manchester, Indiana

David “Dave” Alan Rosemeyer, 72, of North Manchester, Indiana, passed away tragically in a semi-truck accident on October 30, 2026. The son of LeRoy Cyril and Virginia Caroline (Crist) Rosemeyer, Dave was born on November 28, 1953, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

After graduating from Jackson High School in South Bend, Indiana, in 1973, Dave earned an associate’s degree in automotive studies. He enjoyed a long career as a truck driver, working over the years for CRT Trucking, Chase Trucking, Hine Transport, and Wabash Trucking. He finished his career at Swihart Trucking, where he hauled duck feed to local farms.

On July 16, 2005, Dave married Raya Hardesty. Over their twenty-one years together, Dave and Raya shared countless beautiful memories. They attended Walnut Street Church, and Dave made sure to tell Raya every single day how much he loved her. He was a sweet, God-fearing man and a devoted husband.

An honest man—a trait he inherited from his mother—Dave was strong-willed, an intelligent mechanic, and possessed an exceptional work ethic. He was also a man without a filter who never hid what was on his mind. He enjoyed playing cornhole, watching Notre Dame football, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Dave was a proud member of American Legion Post 286 and Moose Lodge 1518, both in North Manchester.

The loving memory of David Rosemeyer will be forever cherished by his wife, Raya Rosemeyer of North Manchester; his sons, Kolby (Alison) Rosemeyer of Wabash, Kyle (Deidra) Rosemeyer of Indianapolis, and Blade Rosemeyer of North Manchester; his daughter, Sarah Johanna (Landon Nelson) Sendelbach of Fort Myers, Florida; step-son, Aaron Prater of North Manchester; his brothers, Alan (Teri) Rosemeyer of Grass Lake, Michigan, and Mark Rosemeyer of North Manchester; his sister, Sharon (Randy) Wise of Bonita Springs, Florida; brother-in-law, William Werling, his step-sister, Judy (Ron) Coffer; and his grandchildren, Aria Rosemeyer, Tatum Rosemeyer, Kyler Rosemeyer, Mila Rosemeyer, Diem Rosemeyer, Jaeden Rosemeyer, Evie Rosemeyer, Keira Sendelbach, and Kendric, Sendelbach.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Rosemeyer; his mother, Virginia Rosemeyer-Allen; his step-father, Frank Allen; his sister, Carol Lynn Werling; and his grandson, Kayden William Sendelbach.
