Deborah Gay Adams, 65, North Manchester passed away August 22, 2019 at 11:43 p.m. at her home surrounded by her loving family. On July 17, 1954, Deb was born in Warsaw, Indiana to Calvin and Bertha (Richardson) Haywood.
Deb graduated from Whitko High School in 1972 and five years later on September 10, 1977, married Jimmie Adams at the Packerton Free Will Baptist Church. The two were wed for nearly 42 years. Prior to her medical issues forcing retirement, Deb worked for Zimmer for 18 years as a receptionist. She was musically talented and loved to play the piano at church and sing hymns. Deb was passionate about praising God and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County. Deb enjoyed woodworking, mushroom hunting, and arts and crafts. Deb’s most cherished pastime was spoiling her grandkids.
Her beautiful life will be remembered by her husband Jimmie Adams, North Manchester; her son Joby (Deanna) Adams, Omaha, Nebraska; her daughter Regina (Eric) Gowen, North Manchester; one brother Bob (Brenda) Haywood, Claypool, Indiana; two sisters Judy (Jim) Swanson, Columbia City, Indiana and Rita (Steve) Conley, Claypool, Indiana; six grandchildren; two nieces, six nephews, two great-nieces, six great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, County Road 700 South and County Farm Road, Claypool, Indiana 46510. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to the start of the service, at First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County. Pastor Terry Bradford will officiate and burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, Indiana.
