Donald "Donnie" Lee Good

Donald "Donnie" Lee Good, born on December 9, 1954, in Wabash, Indiana, to Bruce Leo Good and Betty Lou (Schenkel) Baker, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Huntington, Indiana, on July 10, 2025.

Donnie dedicated over twenty years of his professional life to serving as a welder and fabricator at United Technologies in North Manchester. After the closing of the company, he transitioned to a new role at a salvage yard in Warsaw, where he found joy in operating the crane.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Donnie had a profound love for cars, often spending time in his garage in Ijamsville to work on and paint them. He was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan, with a particular admiration for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Sr. Furthermore, Donnie was a passionate collector, especially of Camel Collectables.

His love for the outdoors was showcased through his fondness for fishing, including ice fishing, where he cherished his time by the water. He also had a passion for mowing his yard and being the first one to do so. Above all, Donnie realized the importance of family. He was immensely proud of his two children, Jacob and Jamie, and shared special moments teaching Jacob how to shoot pool and guiding Jamie in her drawing endeavors. The conversations Donnie had with his children about life’s important lessons were significant to him, as he always encouraged them in their paths.

Donnie found a renewed sense of purpose and spiritual fulfillment through his faith, becoming a member of the Christian Fellowship Church in North Manchester. Although he acknowledged that he was not perfect, he carried a good heart and was committed to living a life that reflected his values.

In 2016, Donnie entered a beautiful chapter in his life with Tea (Milbrandt) Holle, and their engagement symbolizes a wonderful bond built on love and companionship.

The loving memory of Donald Lee Good will be forever cherished by his daughter, Jamie Lee Good, Wabash; son, Jacob (Elizabeth) Good, Huntington; brothers, Lonnie Good, Wabash and Ronald Good, North Manchester; sister, Connie Good, Wabash; fourteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may call Friday, July 18, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church, 1002 East State Road 114, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor Jacob Good officiating.
