October 19, 1935 — March 18, 2026

North Manchester, Indiana

Elizabeth "Liz" Parker Estep, a devoted Christian, beloved mother and grandmother, and dedicated worker, passed away on March 18, 2026, at her home in North Manchester, Indiana. Born Elizabeth Edelman on October 19, 1935, in Dry Branch, West Virginia, she was the daughter of George Edelman and Lillian (Clark) Burton.

Elizabeth's early years were firmly rooted in the traditions of her West Virginia heritage, values she cherished deeply and lovingly imparted to her children. A woman of profound welcome and warmth, she was known to those around her for her steadfast devotion to the Lord and her active involvement at Laketon Wesleyan Church in Laketon, Indiana. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her interactions and nurturing her generous spirit.

Professionally, Elizabeth was industrious and committed. For more than three decades, she dedicated herself to Gen Corp in Wabash, where her hands-on craftsmanship was both valued and respected. In addition to her primary career, she balanced part-time work at Timbercrest, demonstrating a tireless work ethic and a commitment to serving her family. Retirement offered no retreat from her industrious nature, as she continued to contribute at Manchester University in food service, providing care and nourishment with the same love and dedication that defined her personal and professional life.

Elizabeth’s life was one of quiet strength; she bore life’s challenges without complaint, embracing each day with a resolute spirit. She treasured her family above all else, showing particular affection for her grandchildren, who were the joy of her later years; and known as aunt Snooki by her nieces and nephews. Her legacy is carried on through the traditions and values she so lovingly instilled in her children and through the enduring impact she had on those who knew her.

The loving memory of Elizabeth Estep will be forever cherished by her children, Peggy Newcomer, Wabash, Roy “Bill” (Marsha) Estep, Warsaw, Susan Bashore, Warsaw, Donna Krider, South Whitley, and TyAnn Estep, North Manchester; sister, Margaret Cantley, South Hill, Virginia; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
