Florence M. Wagoner

Florence Marie Flora Wagoner, youngest daughter of Elder John Henry and Maudie Ellen (Rauch) Flora, was born March 15, 1930, near West Milton, Ohio. She passed away peacefully March 4, 2026 near Silver Lake, Indiana.

She was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church in September of 1948. She lived a happy, faithful life until her death.

On December 26, 1948 she was united in marriage to Harold Leroy Wagoner of North Manchester, Indiana. The son of Elder Eldo and Ida (Renicker) Wagoner, he passed away on August 12, 2018. Harold and Florence became the parents of four children, three sons and one daughter. They lived most of their married lives within the boundaries of the North Manchester and Eel River districts.

Florence enjoyed cooking; therefore, they enjoyed hosting many Sunday noon meals for their family and also church family. They enjoyed wintering in Lakeland, Florida, with singings every Wednesday evening.

Surviving are their children, Duane (Kathy) Wagoner, Roger (Carla) Wagoner, Rita (Randy) Burns, Dwight (Jennifer) Wagoner; eleven grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Leora Austin.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; parents-law; sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma (Lester) Flory, Miriam (Christian “Chris”) Brubaker, and Lois Brubaker, and Ralph (Esther) Flora; brother and sisters-in-law, Donald (Dorothy) Wagoner, Keith (Cleo) (Naomi) Wagoner and Charles Austin.

Family and friends may call Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 2128 East 1200 South, Silver Lake, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be held at the North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery in North Manchester, Indiana.

The family of Florence Wagoner has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
