James H. Warner, 72, LaCrosse,WI and formerly of Sidney, IN died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Red Wing Health Center, Red Wing, MN. He was born at Orland, IN to Rev. Howard E. & Edith M. (Stafford) Warner. He received his B.S. degree from Manchester College, attended the University of Utah, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. Jim was a retired professor of biology and botany at the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse, WI. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, LaCrosse; the Barbershop Quartet, and his church choir. Surviving is a nephew, Joseph Hullinger, Hoagland, IN and two great-nephews. His parents and a sister, Jane Ann Hullinger are deceased. Services will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, IN. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Friends and family may call on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.
