Linda Lou Allen, born on January 24, 1947, in Wabash, Indiana, to Eugene and Hazel (Miller) Lane, passed away at her home in North Manchester, on October 9, 2025.

Linda dedicated over thirty-five years to her career at Eaton Controls, which later became Invensys. Her commitment and work ethic were evident throughout her tenure, where she made lasting contributions until her retirement following the company's closure.

Earlier in her life, Linda was a part of the Christian Fellowship Church community, which played an important role in her spiritual journey. Linda was deeply passionate about her family. She was known as a devoted family member who nurtured and cared for her loved ones with unwavering dedication. She treasured the moments spent with them, always making sure they felt her love and presence. Linda was also known for her appreciation of nature, particularly the joy it brought her to watch hummingbirds and cardinals around her home.

The loving memory of Linda Lou Allen will be forever cherished by her daughter, Margarett “Meg” (Kevin) O’Reilly, South Whitley; Michael "Mike" LaMont Seven (Brooke) Allen, who she raised like a son, North Manchester; brother, Larry Lane, North Manchester; sisters, Rosie Miller, Wabash, Iva Wright, North Manchester, Peggy (Jerry) Shepler, Wabash, and April Young, North Manchester; one grandson; step-grandchildren, Jennifer O’Reilly and Raquel (Andrew) Buell; and seven great-grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Melinda Terry Allen; son, Steven L. Allen; brothers, Steven A. Lane, Junior Lane, and Jerry Lane; and sister, Patsy Honeycutt.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 10:30 to 12:00 noon at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in North Manchester.
