He was born October 29, 1944 in Wabash County, IN to Orville E. & Mae E. (Niccum) Metzger. He was a lifetime North Manchester area farmer, an auctioneer with Mark Metzger Auctioneering, North Manchester and Halderman Real Estate, Wabash, IN. He was a member of the Indiana Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association. He is survived by two sons, Rodney (Ruby) Metzger, Huntington, IN & Chad (Alexandria) Metzger, North Manchester, IN; three daughters, Rainelle (Tony) Shockome, Columbia City, IN, Jennifer Wehr, Huntington, IN and Kerri (Aaron) Hilbers, Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Leon (Agatha) Metzger, North Manchester, IN, Wilmer (Janet) Metzger, North Manchester, IN and Max (Irene) Metzger, Silver Lake, IN; two sisters, Mrs. Billie (Esther) Blocher, North Manchester, IN and Mrs. Ernest (Leona) Acord, North Manchester, IN and eight grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister are deceased. Family & friends may call Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 1:00-8:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be Monday, December 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Larry Cripe & Richard Brovont will officiate.
