Marvin "Ed" Edward Phillips

Marvin “Ed” Edward Phillips, 64, died on September 25, 2026, at his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ed was born on April 10, 1962, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Marvin Darrell and Irene (Helton) Phillips.

Ed grew up in Roann and graduated from Northfield High School in 1980. He lived most of his life in North Manchester, where he served his community as an EMT for many years. After his career as an EMT, he began a new chapter as a truck driver. In the last years of his life, he made his home in Fort Wayne.

Ed will be remembered for his quiet but helpful nature and for the steady faith that guided his life. He loved his grandchildren deeply and found joy in the time he spent with them. He also enjoyed traveling, reading novels by Tom Clancy and Patricia Cornwell, and the companionship of his beloved dog, Charlie.

The loving memory of Marvin “Ed” Phillips will be forever cherished by his sons, Samuel Phillips, Fort Wayne and Adam (Krystal) Phillips, Warsaw; daughter-in-law, Katie Phillips; brother, Michael Todd (Tyann) Phillips, Roann; sister, Debra Lynn (Robert Haupert Jr.) Phillips Turner, Wabash; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be held at a later date.
