McKenzie Shante Logan Callison

McKenzie Shante Logan Callison, born on May 6, 1993, in Fort Wayne, passed away tragically on June 4, 2025, in Warsaw, Indiana.

McKenzie graduated from Manchester High School in 2011. Following high school, she pursued further education at Ivy Tech Community College.

McKenzie was a happy-go-lucky individual who reveled in the beauty of the outdoors, finding happiness in every moment spent outside. Her caring heart was truly remarkable; she was known for her generosity and willingness to help others. It was not uncommon for McKenzie to give everything she could to ensure that those around her felt valued, especially during the holiday season when she made it a priority to ensure everyone received something special for Christmas.

On January 16, 2021 McKenzie married James Rodney Callison. He passed away on July 10, 2021. Her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, reminding us all of the importance of kindness and the joy of living life to the fullest. McKenzie Shante Logan Callison will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The loving memory of McKenzie Shante Logan Callison will be forever cherished by her siblings, Shanice Logan, Warsaw, Ashley Hopkins, North Manchester, Austin Hopkins, Urbana, Adria Hopkins, Slidell, Louisiana, Dominique Hairston, Lima, Ohio, Bliss Hairston, Lima, Ohio, and Manarya Logan, Lima, Ohio; biological father, Randall Hopkins; step-father, Tony Judy, North Manchester; step-siblings, Brent Judy, Sidney, Chris (Alena) Judy, Fort Wayne, Samantha (Danny) France, Roann, and Stephanie Judy, Fort Wayne; and long-time friend, Herbert “Leonard” Hensley, North Manchester. McKenzie was preceded in death by her father, Damon Deon Logan; mother, Stephanie Ann (McGee) Logan; and husband, James Rodney Callison.

Family and friends may call Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. A service to celebrate McKenzie’s life will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
