Nancy Holman, maiden name Davis, passed away on May 31, 2026, at the Timbercrest Healthcare Center in North Manchester, Indiana. Born on December 22, 1934, in Clayton, Illinois, to Raymond and Alberta (Johnson) Davis, Nancy led a life marked by devotion to family, vibrant personal interests, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew her.
After graduating from Marengo High School in Illinois and then from beauty college, Nancy pursued her passion as a beautician, demonstrating care and attention to detail in her profession. Following her marriage, Nancy chose to dedicate herself to raising her family as a stay-at-home mother, a role in which she found profound fulfillment. As her children grew older, she returned to the workforce and contributed her skills at Heckman Bindery.
Nancy married Francis Gene Holman on September 14, 1963. Together, they shared 52 years of marriage filled with love and companionship until Gene’s passing on October 4, 2015. Throughout their years together, Nancy was known as a loving and caring person who consistently put her family first. Her devotion to her loved ones remained the centerpiece of her life.
An avid admirer of Arizona’s welcoming climate, Nancy and Gene spent 15 cherished winters in southern Arizona after their retirement, soaking in the warmth and beauty of the desert landscape. Nancy’s passion for nature was evident in her love of flowers and gardening. She dedicated many hours tending to a myriad of flower beds filled with vibrant colors, transforming her yard into a living canvas of beauty that reflected her nurturing spirit.
Nancy Holman’s life was one of quiet grace and heartfelt dedication to those she loved. She will be remembered not only for her steadfast commitment to family and work but also for the warmth and kindness she extended to everyone around her. Her legacy endures in the memories of those she touched and the blossoms she lovingly nurtured throughout her years.
The loving memory of Nancy Holman will be forever cherished by her son, Jon Holman, North Manchester; daughter, Jennifer (David) Bauer, Claypool; brother, Bruce Davis, Belvidere, Illinois; and grandson, Jake Bauer, Warsaw. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Holman; and daughter, Alison Holman.
