Patricia Ann King

Patricia A. King (née Turner), 86, of Roann, Indiana, and formerly of Akron, New York, passed away on September 26, 2026.

Born in Brooklawn, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Lewis S. Turner and Hazel S. (Sneade) Turner Huff. Patricia was the valedictorian of the 1957 graduating class at Antrim High School in Antrim, New Hampshire. She later continued her education, graduating from D’Youville College in 1983, and dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse (R.N.).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan Crawford King, who passed away on December 30, 2013, as well as her daughter, Deborah Medakovich; grandson, Dominic Dispenza; son-in-law, Mark Medakovich; and step-brother, Edward Huff.

Patricia leaves behind a large and loving family. She is survived by her children; Jeffrey (Lynnette) LaMontagne, Jacqueline Dillon, David (Elizabeth) LaMontagne, Linda Harrington, and Karen (Richard) Bushen; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara McCabe Spadea, Auburn, Massachusetts.

An active, adventurous, and highly engaged member of her communities across several states, Patricia was deeply involved in numerous organizations. She served as a Past Worthy Matron of Chapter #14, Order of the Eastern Star (OES) in Hillsboro, New Hampshire. A proud patriot, she was a member of the Katherine Pratt Horton Chapter of the DAR in Buffalo, New York, and an associate member of the Francis Slocum Chapter of the DAR in Wabash, Indiana.

Her local and social involvement extended to the Clarence Contemporary Club, the Outspoken Bikers, the Wabash Women’s Clubhouse, and the Wabash Senior Center. A fierce competitor and athlete, Patricia was a dedicated member of the Hope Chest Buffalo Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Team. With her team, she raced in international competitions across the U.S., Windsor, and Toronto, and proudly partnered with a Wounded Warriors team.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at a later date. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Akron, New York.
