Ricky Eli Castle, 66, Silver Lake, passed away on June 26, 2022 at home. The son of Wilbur “Web” Castle and Virgie (Blevins) Castle, Ricky was born November 30, 1955 in Paintsville, Kentucky.

After graduating in 1973 from Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Ricky became a professional welder for many years. He was also a business owner for American Fabricating. Referred to as a “human forklift,” Ricky’s strength enabled him to move or lift just about anything.

Ricky was a teacher, a helper and had a great sense of humor that was appreciated by many. His children, Trevor, Trey, and Gina, enjoyed their father’s funny stories about adventures in the “old days.” He was a loving father to them and a father figure to many. Living life to its fullest, Ricky had many hobbies and activities that he actively enjoyed. He loved coon hunting, bowling, and fishing. While in high school, he also enjoyed playing basketball and track.

The loving memory of Ricky Eli Castle will be forever cherished by his partner of 26 years, Wendy Simpson; sons, Trevor (Sarah) Simpson, Wabash, and Trey Castle, Silver Lake; daughter, Gina Castle, Laketon; brothers, Edgel Castle, Ashland, Kentucky, and Jimmy (Anita) Castle, Allentown, Pennsylvania; sister, Edna Delores Collins, Wabash; grandchildren, Alyssa (Joe) Fox, Warsaw, Janessa Castle, Laketon, and Liam Eli Simpson, on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur “Web” Castle and Virgie (Blevins) Keller; brothers, Rob Castle, and Henry Castle, and grandchild, Riley Peyton.

Family and friends may call Friday, July 1, 2022 at 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana.
