Roger I. Partridge, 79, passed away on September 6, 2026, at Wyndmoor Assisted Living in Marion, Indiana. He was born on April 7, 1947, in Huntington, Indiana, to Bruce I. and Phyllis M. (Heeter) Partridge.
Roger graduated from Manchester High School in 1965 and went on to build a career as a mechanic with Carter Sales and Services, where he specialized in Chrysler vehicles. His work reflected a steady dedication and skill that marked much of his life.
Earlier in his life, Roger served his community as a member of the North Manchester Fire Department for six years and the Noble Township Fire Department for three years. During that time, he attended several state firefighter schools, furthering his training and commitment to helping others.
Roger found joy in the outdoors and appreciated the simple pleasures of gardening, wildlife, and his pets. He also held a unique place in medical history as the first pancreas transplant patient at Indiana University.
Roger is survived by his three nephews and one niece. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Philip Partridge; and sister, Linda Marie Filip.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Servia, Indiana.
