Stephen "Steve" Craig Turley

Stephen "Steve" Craig Turley passed away on August 18, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on April 24, 1964, in Wabash, Indiana, to Clarence F. and Dorothy Mae (Myers) Turley, Steve lived a life with deep love for the people closest to him.

Steve attended Manchester High School, before proudly entering the United States Navy. There, he trained and served as an Electronic Equipment Repairman—a role that provided him with technical skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

This training became the cornerstone of his professional life. Steve dedicated over twenty-five years to Retirement Home TV. What began as installing satellite dishes and related equipment gradually evolved into a senior leadership position, with Steve eventually serving as the Senior Call Technician. Even when many would have chosen retirement, Steve remained steadfastly committed, continuing to take calls and lend his expertise whenever he could.

While Steve's career is notable, the qualities he displayed outside of work truly defined him. On October 20, 1986, Steve married Lisa Thomas and the two were blessed with three children. A private individual, Steve’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was strong-willed, yet his big heart was apparent in the many ways he spoiled his loved ones. His home was both his sanctuary and his canvas; Steve took great pride in working outdoors and meticulously landscaping around his property.

Steve had a gift for tinkering, always eager to fix, build, or improve something around the house. His resourcefulness made him the go-to person for family and friends needing advice or a helping hand. In his quieter moments, Steve enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—relaxing with science fiction shows, engaging with computer games, and watching anime. These hobbies allowed him to unwind and brought him much joy.

The loving memory of Stephen “Steve” Turley will be forever cherished by his wife, Lisa Turley, North Manchester; children, Steven Turley, North Manchester, Garret Turley, Indianapolis, and Cassie Turley, North Manchester; seven grandchildren; and one brother, David Turley, Indianapolis. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rhonda Turley.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
