Thomas "Tom" Wayne Klutz, born on October 12, 1954, in Wabash, Indiana, to James A. “Pete” and Loretta A. (Garrison) Klutz, passed away at his home in North Manchester, Indiana, on September 19, 2025. He was a cherished husband and devoted family man.
A graduate of Manchester High School in 1974, Tom was recognized for his outstanding achievements in machine trades at the Wabash County Vocational School, where he won the accolade for most outstanding student. It was during his daily bus rides to this school that he met Cheryl Sites, who would become his beloved wife. The two were united in marriage on July 26, 1974, embarking on a beautiful journey together marked by love, companionship, and family.
Tom was the proud fourth generation of Klutz Well Drilling, a legacy that spanned over fifty-six years. His dedication and commitment to the family business were evident as he worked tirelessly, eventually taking on the role of owner. Prior to this significant venture, Tom gained experience at Manchester Tool and Die for a short time, showcasing his skills and determination in the field.
Tom was not only known for his professional accomplishments but also for his deep fondness for deer hunting, a passion that he shared with his family. He also loved his time listening to classic rock of the 1970s and 1980s. Tom cherished spending quality time with his loved ones, whether biking, waterskiing, camping, or engaging in various activities that brought them together. In addition to these interests, he and Cheryl enjoyed roller skating, a passion that culminated in competitive events, with their last competition held in Florida.
The loving memory of Tom Klutz will be forever cherished by his wife, Cheryl Klutz, North Manchester; son, Brent (Amber Blevins) Klutz, North Manchester; grandchildren, Bryce (Jordan Nestor) Klutz, Airway Heights, Washington, Hunter (Lillian) Klutz, Silver Lake, and Jaxston (Maddie Gillespie) Klutz, Wabash; great-grandchild, Juniper Klutz; and sister, Lisa (Greg) Carter, North Manchester. Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. A celebration of Tom’s life will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
