Trevor Wayne Smith, born on October 23, 1966, in Rochester, Indiana, to Jerry Dean and Mary Jane (Bradley) Smith, passed away on May 18, 2025, at his home in Columbia City, Indiana. He will be remembered for his warm smile and gentle spirit.

Trevor's educational journey began in Florence, South Carolina, where he graduated from high school in 1984. He furthered his studies at Ivy Tech, focusing on accounting, a testament to his strong work ethic and desire to pursue knowledge.

Trevor dedicated sixteen years of his career to GI Tape & Label, Inc. in Warsaw, where he was a valued member of the Customer Service team. His commitment to excellence and his ability to connect with others made a lasting impact on those he worked with.

On December 29, 1987, Trevor married the love of his life, Donetta Fishbaugh. Their marriage was characterized by a playful spirit, filled with laughter and light-hearted jokes. It was Trevor's warm smile that initially drew Donetta to him, and their life together blossomed into a deep bond defined by mutual respect and affection.

Trevor had a big heart and a caring personality, traits that endeared him to family and friends alike. He had a unique ability to make people feel at ease, always ready to listen and offer support. However, it was his grandchildren who held a particularly special place in his heart; they were the light of his life and brought immeasurable joy to his days. Trevor had a deep love for Christ and a love for sharing his testimony of Christ’s love to others. On Sundays he enjoyed worshiping at Victory Christian Fellowship in Columbia City.

Trevor Wayne Smith leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. His vibrant spirit and unwavering support for his beloved family will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

The loving memory of Trevor Smith will be forever cherished by his wife, Donetta Smith; sons, Jonathan K. Michel, Kevin M. Smith and Jeffery W. Smith; and two grandchildren. Trevor was preceded in death by his parents.

The family of Trevor Smith will grieve privately. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in North Manchester, Indiana.
