Virginia Kay Horner

Virginia Kay Horner, 65, Wabash, Indiana died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1946 at Sidersville, KY to Avis & Jurlean (Bradley) Salyers. On July 6, 2005 she married Lewis D. Horner. He survives. Also surviving are a son, Shawn M. (Dereka) Samuel, Wabash, IN; a daughter, Tracy K. French, Wabash, IN; eight grandchildren and a brother, Kenneth Salyers, Wabash, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Kay was a homemaker and attended Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church at Wabash. She was a loving wife and enjoyed caring for and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She liked to camp and enjoyed crocheting. Services will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Ave., Wabash, IN. Pastor Scott Real will officiate. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.
