William "Bill" Lee Stellar

William Lee “Bill” Stellar, aged 82, of North Manchester, peacefully passed away at his home on June 6, 2025. Born on February 2, 1943, in Huntington, he was the beloved son of Sharon F. and Betty R. (Burkhart) Stellar.

On July 4, 1964, Bill married Sondra “Sandy” Stucker in the Christian Church in Servia. Their nearly sixty-one years of marriage were a testament to their deep love and commitment to each other. Bill was a devoted husband and father, cherished by his children Brian and Amy.

Throughout his career, Bill exemplified hard work and dedication, with his journey taking him from Peabody Seating Company to General Tire, and ultimately to Majestic, where he eventually retired. Even after retirement, he sought fulfillment through a part-time position at Super Wash in North Manchester. Outside of work and family life, Bill found joy in woodworking, fishing, and had a particular passion for caring for his lawn.

The loving memory of William “Bill” Stellar will forever be cherished by his wife, Sondra “Sandy” Stellar, North Manchester; son Brian (Cindy) Stellar, Huntington; daughter, Amy (Alan) Stell, North Manchester; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Mary) Stellar, Wabash; and brother-in-law, Jackie North, North Manchester. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alan E. “Pete” (Dianne) Stellar; and sisters, Judy Ann North, Karen Stellar, and Sharon Stellar.

The family of William Lee Stellar will grieve privately. Burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in North Manchester.
