Bernadette (Willett) Bradley

Bernadette Bradley, 73, North Manchester, passed away November 16, 2021 at her home. The daughter of Ralph M. and Dorothy L. (Coffey) Willett, Bernadette was born June 26, 1948 in Maysville, Kentucky.

Bernadette graduated from Manchester High School in 1966 and went on to be a cook at her alma mater for many years. She was then employed with Silver Lake Small Animal Veterinary Clinic in Silver Lake, Indiana for over thirty years. Bernadette was a devout member of Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in North Manchester and was a member of the Saint Robert Bellarmine Rosary Sodality. She was both strong in will and in faith and had a passion for caring for others.

On August 27, 1966, Bernadette married Sam D. Bradley. Together they welcomed four children, Jeff, Chris, Angie and Sam. Bernadette was a homemaker with a big heart who greatly valued time with her family which included coaching softball for her daughters.

The loving memory of Bernadette Bradley will be forever cherished by her husband, Sam D. Bradley, North Manchester; son, Jeff (Angie) Bradley, Columbus, Indiana; daughters, Chris (Roger) Metzger, North Manchester, Angie Fry, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Sam (Brian) Layton, Wolcott, Indiana; sisters, Charlotte (Tommy) Robey, Lebanon, Kentucky, Janie Cambron, Loretto, Kentucky, Margaret Holt, Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Dorothy Willett, Wabash, Indiana, Laura (Charles) Pyles, Racine, Wisconsin, Nancy (Frank) Hoffman, South Whitley, Indiana; brothers, Gary (Paula) Willett, Irving, Texas, John Willett, Butlerville, Indiana, James (Joni Tracy) Willett, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Larry Willett, Fort Wayne, Indiana, C. Philip Willett, Berea, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Kathy Willett; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph M. and Dorothy L. (Coffey) Willett, one brother, Ralph “Buddy” Willett Jr.; one sister, Mary Henderson; and son-in-law, Mike Fry.

Family and friends may call Friday, November 19, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with recital of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana.  Calling Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 1203 State Road 114, North Manchester, Indiana. Father Dennis DiBenedetto will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, CR 300 E & CR 1000 N, Servia, Indiana.
