Carroll Hamilton

Carroll Hamilton, 73, Warsaw, passed away on May 13, 2022 at home. The son of Dale and Helen (Carper) Hamilton, Carroll was born August 29, 1948 in Warsaw, Indiana.

After graduating from Pierceton High School in 1967, Carroll enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. After active duty, Carroll served in the National Guard, eventually being discharged in 1995. Carroll worked for Daylights for two years, the State Highway Department for two and a half years, and Zimmer Biomet for 36 years before retiring in 2009.

His grandchildren were his greatest joys and he loved them dearly. Carroll was known for his willingness to always lend a helping hand and doing the best he could in any situation. He was an avid and skilled storyteller who enjoyed action movies and watching Westerns on T.V. Carroll enjoyed woodworking and painting landscapes; farm scenes were his favorite subject. He was a proud member of the Warsaw American Legion Post 49, the NRA, and 4-H, serving on the fair board in the 1980’s. Carroll was also a former member of Eel River Community Church of the Brethren in Silver Lake. 

The loving memory of Carroll Hamilton will be forever cherished by his sons, Jim Hamilton, and Randall (Jessica) Hartman, Warsaw; daughters, Mary Hamilton, Warsaw, and Amber (Matthew) Enyeart, North Manchester; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Carroll is preceded in death by his special friend of 30 years, Linda Hamilton, who passed away February 11, 2020; his parents, Dale and Helen (Carper) Hamilton; one son, Rodney Hamilton, who passed away in 1985; brothers, Chester Hamilton, and John Hamilton; sister, Mary Sue Byee.

A graveside service for Carroll Hamilton will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, Myrtle Glen Drive, Silver Lake, Indiana with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.

The family of Carroll Hamilton has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
