Cynthia "Cindy" Dawn (Barnett) Mills

 Cynthia Dawn “Cindy” Mills, 53, LaFontaine, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at Parkview Wabash Hospital on March 23, 2024. The daughter of Janice (Cremeans) Leach, Cindy was born June 16, 1970, in Gallipolis, Ohio.

In 1988 Cindy graduated from Hazard County Central High School in Kentucky. She moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, shortly after graduation. Cindy was blessed with two children, Katie and Sonny, who she loved dearly, and one grandson, Xavier Mills, who she adored. On November 6, 2016, Cindy began dating Aaron Shenefield. The two shared many laughs and wonderful times together over the past seven years. Cindy worked as a Manager for Circle K before her health began declining.

The loving memory of Cindy Mills will be forever cherished by her mother, Janice Leach, Hillsboro, Ohio; children, Katie Gentry, Centralia, Illinois, Sonny (Jessica) Mills, Beavercreek, Ohio, and bonus daughter, Kaci Spurling, Middletown, Ohio; companion, Aaron Shenefield, LaFontaine; siblings, David Barnett, Lynchburg, Ohio, Gerald (Liz) Walter, St. Marys, Ohio, and Lenora King, Martinsville, Ohio; and one grandson, Xavier Mills.

A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held in Ohio at a later date. 

The family of Cindy Mills has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
