David James Brace

David James Brace, 83, North Manchester passed away January 30, 2020 at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester. David was born to William and Ellen (Fratus) Brace on April 26, 1936 in Erie, Pennsylvania.

David graduated from Central High School 1955. A year later he married Patricia Reed on July 7, 1956. David was an outdoors man that enjoyed camping, playing golf, and he was an avid fisherman. He also loved watching sports, especially NASCAR. On Sundays he attended Sweetwater Assembly of God in North Manchester. David was employed with Manchester Foundry for over 15 years and worked for Carter Farms for 38 years, retiring in 1999.

The memory of David will be cherished forever by his wife, Patricia Brace, North Manchester; three sons, David J. (Kelly) Brace, Wabash, Indiana, Doug Brace, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Ron (Karen) Brace, Claypool, Indiana; one daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Enyeart, North Manchester; one brother, Paul Brace, Chapel Hill, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Jarrod (Christi Corbran) Enyeart, Servia, Indiana, Nick (Heather) Enyeart, North Manchester, Indiana, Wendy (Josh) Brown, Warsaw, Indiana, Tegan Brace, Chicago, Illinois, Ashley (Clint) Lightbourn, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Tiffany Brace, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Monica, Reed, and Eli Brace all of Claypool, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William Brace, and two sisters, Donna Snook and Ruth DeToro.

Family and friends may call Monday, February 3, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services for David will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with calling beginning one hour prior at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Jeremy Jones and Pastor Chad McAtee will officiate and burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, Indiana.
