Dolores M (Rockwell) Gish

Dolores M. Gish, 91, Claypool, Indiana, passed away April 16, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The daughter of John and Laura (Bainter) Rockwell, Dolores was born in Wakarusa, Indiana, on January 29, 1931.

On July 10, 1949, Dolores was baptized into the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Possessing a servant’s heart, she remained faithful in her faith. When Dolores was twenty-one, she married Orvel M. Gish on July 6, 1952. During their nearly sixty-five years of marriage, they were blessed with three children, Michael, Diane, and Phyllis.

The loving memory of Dolores Gish will be forever cherished by her son, Michael (Teresa) Gish, South Carolina; daughters, Diane (Larry) Cripe, North Manchester, Indiana, and Phyllis (James) Flory, Lawrence, Kansas; ten grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Delbert and his wife Catherine Rockwell.

Family and friends may call April 19, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 2128 East 1200 South, Silver Lake, Indiana. Funeral services will be held April 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Burial will follow at the Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery with the Home Brethren Officiating.
