Donald Carpenter Obituary

Donald A. Carpenter, 74, passed away December 24, 2019 at Saint Joseph Hospital, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born in Stirrat, West Virginia to Elbert Carpenter and Elizabeth (Griggs).

Donald met the love of his life Rose Hubler, and the two of them were married October 19, 1973. They were married 24 years, until Rose passed away March 8, 1997. Donald worked for 32 years at Bendix Abrasives in North Manchester, Indiana, where he made grinding wheels until he retired in 1999. He had a love for following Indiana University Basketball, and baseball for the Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed working for Job Corp in the 60’s, teaching young people to do a variety of jobs. Donald was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle, in Claypool, Indiana.

Donald will forever be loved and cherished in memory by his sons, James Carpenter, North Manchester, IN, Charles Carpenter, North Manchester, IN, Donald Carpenter, North Manchester, IN, and daughter Beth Hubler, North Manchester, IN; one brother, Charles Carpenter, Pierceton, Indiana; six Grandchildren, and ten Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 250 North Main Street, in Claypool, Indiana at 3:00 p.m. with calling a hour prior.

A love offering may be made to McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN 46962, to assist the family with final expenses.
