Dottie (Gibson) Teeter

Dottie Teeter, 74, North Manchester, passed away on December 5, 2021 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Indiana. She was born April 24, 1947 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Richard and Aggie (Poe) Gibson.

Dottie graduated from Claypool High School in 1965 and went on to be a manager at Hook’s, Revco and CVS drug stores, until her retirement in 2000. On March 10, 1973 she married her best friend, William Teeter. The two welcomed one son and one daughter, Charlie and Aggie. Throughout their marriage, if you saw one of them, you saw the other. They did everything together. The wife of a veteran, Dottie supported her husband and also the military. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 286 in North Manchester.

While her children were growing up, Dottie played the role of “mom” to not only her kids but to any kids who needed her love. She continued this as her children grew older and became a grandma to anyone that needed one. Dottie was also a Cub Scouts den mother for many years. Dottie loved all children and enjoyed a good joke.

The loving memory of Dottie Teeter will be forever cherished by her husband, William L. Teeter, North Manchester; son, Charles “Charlie” Teeter, North Manchester; daughter, Aggie (Chris) Schuman, Huntington, Indiana;; sister, Becky (Gary) Krotke, North Manchester; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Aggie (Poe) Gibson; brothers, Richard Gibson Jr., Arnold Gibson, James Gibson, Charles Gibson and Sammie Gibson; sisters, Anna Jane Parsley, Betty Zimmerman, and Joyce Arnett.

Family and friends may call Friday, December 10, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will start at the conclusion of calling. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Sidney Cemetery, State Road 13 and County Road 850 South, Sidney, Indiana 46562.
