Jerry Eugene Boocher

Jerry Eugene Boocher, 78, North Manchester, passed away on February 21, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The son of Max E. and Doris T. (Niccum) Boocher, Jerry was born on June 11, 1943 in Wabash County, Indiana.

After graduating from Laketon High School in 1962, Jerry went on to become owner of Boocher Services where he did heating and plumbing work for over 40 years. After owning and operating Boocher Services, Jerry worked in maintenance for Timbercrest Retirement Community for over 15 years before retiring in 2012.

Jerry had a passion for service and would help fix anything and everything for those in need. Years ago he attended First Brethren Church in North Manchester and was blessed with a son, Kelly.  He was a skilled woodworker and mechanic; repairing many homes and vehicles. Jerry’s business nurtured his calling for servanthood and was an asset to the community.

The loving memory of Jerry Eugene Boocher will be forever cherished by his son, Kelly (Kimberly) Boocher, Columbia City; brothers, Allan (Rosalyn) Boocher, South Whitley, and Arden (Carol) Boocher, Fort Wayne; sisters, Judy (Dennis) Cripe, North Manchester, and Beverly (Mike) Rice; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max E. and Doris T. (Niccum) Boocher.

Family and friends may call February 25, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling and Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial is at Swank Cemetery, State road 13, ½ mile north of North Manchester.
