Obituary

Linda Kay Cripe, 76, Claypool, Indiana, passed away on November 18, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. Born in Wabash, Indiana, on December 9, 1945, Linda was the daughter of Marion Judson and Eunice Marie (Montel) Marshall.

After graduating from Claypool High School in 1965, Linda began working at Triwec in North Manchester until 1969. She was then employed at R.R. Donnelley & Son Company in Warsaw, Indiana, for fifteen years. She also worked at Walgreens in Warsaw before retiring from Pierceton Post Office in 2008.

On June 5, 1964 Linda married the love of her life and best friend, David L. Cripe. The two spent nine years in North Manchester before moving to Claypool, where they built a happy and blessed life with their three children, Jeff, Greg, and Victoria.

Linda was an outgoing person who loved to talk to people. She especially enjoyed attending church at North Manchester Church of the Nazarene. After they closed, she attended the Missionary Church in North Manchester. Linda’s faith and family gave her peace during the difficult times in her life, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought a smile to her face. Linda loved nothing more than spending time with her children and unconditionally supporting her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her generosity; Linda’s final gift was that of organ donation to help someone in need.

The loving memory of Linda Kay Cripe will be forever cherished by her husband of fifty-eight years, David L. Cripe, Claypool; sons, Jeff (Deanna) Cripe, Warsaw and Greg (Tammy) Cripe, Noblesville; daughter, Victoria (Ron) Cornell, Pierceton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Karen) Coble, Warsaw; and sister, Joyce (Jack) Hicks, Pierceton. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry Coble, Donnie Coble, and Wayne Marshall; and sisters, Patricia Betten, Patricia Hall, Eunice Robinson, and Bernice Nordman.
