Nancy Jane (Ross) Brewer

Nancy Jane Brewer, 78, North Manchester, Indiana, entered Heaven’s gates on November 26, 2020 at 11:07 a.m. One of five children, Nancy was born in Wabash, Indiana, on November 20, 1942 to the late Clifford E. and Martha I. (Poe) Ross Sr.

After graduating from Wabash High School in 1960, the following Spring, Nancy married Don W. Brewer on May 26, 1961. During their fifty-nine years together, they had five children, Todd, Kevin, Jay, Debbie and Stephanie Brewer. For many years they called Laketon, Indiana, home.

 In 1989 Nancy and Don open Manchester Party & Tool Rental. They ran the business out of their home before eventually moving the business to North Manchester, Indiana. In 2001 the two of them and their family opened Warsaw Party & Rental, Warsaw, Indiana. It was in 2015 that Nancy retired from running the businesses, however she always tried to help anyway she could.

Nancy was a spiritually strong woman that believed in the Lord with all her heart. On Sunday mornings she could be seen worshiping at Sweetwater Assembly of God in North Manchester, where she was a member. The matriarch of the family, Nancy was a caring, compassionate, person that loved her family and friends dearly. It was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that brought her so much joy.

The loving memory of Nancy Jane Brewer will be forever cherished by her husband, Don W. Brewer, North Manchester; sons, Todd A. (Crystal) Brewer and Kevin (Carrie) Brewer, both of North Manchester; daughters, Debbie S. (Steve) Dotson, Silver Lake, Indiana, and Stephanie (Scott) Martin, South Bend, Indiana; brother, Clifford “Butch” Ross Jr., Wabash, Indiana; sisters, Barbara (Ned) Schuler, North Manchester, Carolyn Drook, Champaign, Illinois, and Bethene Gill, Wabash, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and son, William Jay Brewer, who passed away January 28, 2020.

Friends and family may call Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sweetwater Assembly of God, 2551 State Road 114, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with calling one hour prior to the service at Sweetwater Assembly of God. Pastor Jeremy Jones will officiate. Burial will be held at Laketon Cemetery, 200 West 950 North, Laketon, Indiana.
