Patricia Sue Smith

Patricia Sue Smith, 90, of North Manchester passed away December 29, 2018 at 4:15 a.m. in her home. Patricia was born March 16, 1928 in Liberty Mills, Indiana to Charles and Susan L. (Scott) Myers.  

Patricia married Turner Smith on August 11, 1945 in Huntington, Indiana. After 61 years of marriage, Turner passed away on April 13, 2007. Patricia enjoyed crosswords and animals, especially her cats. Most of all though, she loved her family. Having a passion for caring for the elderly, Patricia was a QMA at Peabody Retirement Community for 43 years working well into her 80’s.

Patricia will be remembered by her son Greg (Glenda) Smith, North Manchester; four grandchildren, Ashley (Matt Shilling) Smith, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Andrea (Joel) Bolinger, Avilla, Indiana, Stacie (Alex) Singleton, Ellettsville, Indiana, and Mike (Heather) Foy, Madison, Indiana; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN at a later date.  Pastor Tim Morbitzer will officiate.
