Richard Gale

Richard C. Gale, 56, North Manchester, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2021, with the love of his life by his side. He was born November 12, 1964, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Lewis and LaDonna (Steele) Gale.

In 1984 Richard graduated from Manchester High School and in 1986 received his Associates Degree in Automotive from ITT in Fort Wayne. From 1987 to 1995 Richard volunteered his time to the town of North Manchester, where he was a member of the North Manchester Fire Department. In 2006 he went on to get a degree in Small Engine Repair from Penn Foster ‘s online course. Using his degrees, Richard worked in automotive at Dorais and Shepherd’s from 1984 to 1990. He also repaired small engines on the side, before his health prevented him from doing so. In 1990 Richard began working at Manchester Tool and Die as well as BKB in North Manchester before health issues forced him to retire in 2019.

Richard had a love for all things mechanical. He enjoyed driving in his Jeep, going to tractor shows, and had recently developed an appreciation for woodworking in his woodshop. None of these things, however, compared to the love he had for his soulmate. On July 3, 1995 he married Penni Dangerfield in Wabash, Indiana. Though Richard never had any children of his own, he was blessed with a stepdaughter to whom he was a great father.

Richard’s memory will always be cherished by his wife, Penni Gale, North Manchester; stepdaughter, Tiffany Dangerfield (Cody Grudowski), North Manchester; step-grandchildren, Clayton Garwood, Levi Grudowski, and Elaina Grudowski, all of North Manchester; brother, Mark (Laura) Gale, North Manchester; as well as many friends and family. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Julie Ann Gale; and brother, Charles Owen Gale.

Per Richard’s wishes, there will be no services.
